Summary of Practice
Emily J. Buchbinder’s practice areas include wills, trusts, estate planning, estate
administration, probate, and tax. Above all, she values the personal relationships she
builds with her clients by listening to their goals and providing them with planning
options in understandable terms in a cost-efficient manner. With heartfelt compassion,
she guides those who have lost a family member or friend through the administration of a
decedent’s estate.
Professional Organizations
Emily is a member of the Santa Cruz Bar Association and the Santa Cruz County Estate
Planning Council.
Academic Background
Emily received a B.A. from U.C., Berkeley with Highest Honors and a J.D. from
Monterey College of Law. In addition, Emily received a legal Master’s Degree in
taxation from Golden Gate University, with Honors, an M.A. in teaching at Brown
University, and graduated with High Honors from the Japanese language course at the
Defense Language Institute in Monterey. Emily speaks conversational Japanese. Prior to
joining Bosso Williams, she worked at Deloitte Tax LLP and the Grunsky Law Firm.
